Preparing for your new life at ELVYN

ARRIVAL SLOT:

Through the Accommodation Portal, you will be notified by email as to when you can book your arrival slot on move-in day.

IT CREDENTIALS:

Before arriving to university, you will be asked to fill out an application for accommodation.
When you have been accepted by your chosen halls of residence, you will be required to carry out a guided process in order to retrieve your IT credentials.
Essentially, this will be your student email address, password, and student ID number.

STUDENT ID:

When retrieving your IT credentials, you will be asked for your personal details in order to request your Student ID.
On move in day, you will need to show any form of documentation (passport/ driving license), and will be given your Student ID. Simple as that!

ROOM BOND:

This is a room deposit on your accommodation for damages throughout the year.
You will get this back in full at the end of the rental agreement if there are no damages to pay.
This is a COMPULSORY payment

HALL SUBS:

Fee that pays for events throughout the year including Summer Ball, sports events and trips throughout the year.
This pays for your events which you do within Elvyn during freshers fortnight only (which will become a massive part of your Loughborough experience)
You need this to get involved with the activities going on in hall during the two weeks of freshers such as entries and travel to clubs, bowling, town tours, day trips away, punch parties and more.
You’ll get a wristband and a T-shirt during freshers which lets us know you’ve bought it, and you’ll get to meet all the people you’ll be spending the next year living with!

AFFILIATE FEES:

This fee is more for returners.
If you are living in town for the year but still wish to be part of the hall and get involved in activities such as IMS, then you will need to pay for £20 fee to be affiliated to Elvyn Richards.

PLATINUM:

Platinum is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED but NOT compulsory
Platinum entitles you to free entry throughout the year to all Union Nights as well as special drinks offers.
It will also include Fresher Ball ticket for an unforgettable night and live act!
